If you are unfamiliar with Czech cuisine, here's a quick primer. The traditional Czech recipes normally consist of hearty meat with potatoes or dumplings. Most meat dishes are slow cooked by roasting them for several hours. This ensures the meat is just tender but moist and juicy as well.
Czechs are known for their expertise in baking and her love of desserts. Many of the traditional desserts are served as part of a meal, which means it does not cost anything more. Generally, you pay a lot for an authentic Czech style meal. Many of the recommended restaurants often serve a full course meal for less than $ 12.

We have been in Bohemian Crystal many times and always looking forward to going natrag.Blagovaonica traditionally decorated, the portions are huge and the prices are low.
Roast pork, roast duck and fried pork fillet are the three most famous dishes. Westmont is about 30 minutes west from downtown Chicago, and not far from the west near the suburban enclave of Czech Republic in Chicago.
Al Blue Toad: Cedar Rapids, Iowa
large Czech community with a specialty shopping area known as Czech Village, Cedar Rapids was devastated by flood waters several years ago. It was all but wiped from the Czech village, and Zindrick restaurant was forced to close. Zindrick was one of the most famous restaurants in the Czech country.
Now, the same owners changed the name but kept the same great recipes. Al Blue Toad is open from the end of 2009 and go to place for goulash, dumplings, and many other standards.
Wilber Hotel Restaurant
about 25 miles west of Lincoln, Nebraska, the town hosts the annual Wilber Czech cultural festivala.Downtown area is walkable, traditional Czech village with specialty shops and a museum.
If you are ever in the area, be sure to eat and spend the night here. This is a Czech style hospitality at its best!
Old Prague Restaurant: vermilion, Ohio
This is one of our favorite places in one of our favorite cities. Old Prague is situated in the fourth port of vermilion, a picturesque town about 40 miles west of Cleveland and a short stroll to the shores of Lake Erie.
Since 1971, this welcoming restaurant is dishing out homemade soups, European style pastries and hearty meal that's easy on the wallet. Spend a day in vermilion and caps with dinner at the Old Prague.
Czech Plaza: Berwyn, Illinois
circling back to suburban Chicago, you will find this stronghold conveniently located on Cermak Road near the western suburb of Berwyn. Berwyn is one of the biggest Czech and Bohemian communities in America.
in business for nearly 50 years, everything here is home made and delicious. We recommend farmers Platter, sampling a few dishes of meat, meat loaf, or Bohemian, which is one of the best we've ever had. Wash it down with one of the many beers available from the full bar.
